Hearing Assessments and Tests

Conducting complete hearing tests is a painless and relatively quick process, usually taking around 30 minutes to an hour.

Explore the Five Primary Stages

Most of us tend to overlook our auditory capabilities until we notice signs of decline.

At that point, we begin to realize the vital role our hearing plays in communication and maintaining our overall quality of life. Recognizing the importance of addressing hearing loss before it becomes permanent or worsens is the initial step in taking proactive measures. Our clinic is dedicated to offering comprehensive hearing evaluations for individuals across all age groups – from infants and children to seniors. These assessments are administered by our team of hearing healthcare specialists, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every evaluation. If you suspect any hearing issues, obtaining a professional hearing test is a crucial step toward improving your auditory well-being and achieving better hearing.

While the prospect of a hearing test might seem daunting, the process is actually quite straightforward and brief.

An experienced audiologist or hearing specialist will conduct a series of assessments involving various diagnostic methods to assess the condition of your ears and your hearing capabilities. These evaluations are designed to identify any hearing problems and guide the audiologist in determining the most appropriate treatment options.

Throughout the test, our team of auditory healthcare professionals will carefully examine your ears and record your responses to different tones and frequencies. Additionally, they will inquire about your family's history of hearing loss and gather other relevant medical information before proceeding with the tests. Depending on your unique hearing needs, additional tests may be recommended.

REVIEW OF MEDICAL HISTORY

In this phase, the audiologist will gather information about your medical background, including current and past medical conditions, medication usage, and your family's medical history.

Otoscopy

Otoscopy is a routine procedure employed by hearing healthcare experts to inspect the ear canal and tympanic membrane for any signs of physical damage or obstruction.

Tympanometry

Tympanometry is a diagnostic assessment that measures the movement of the eardrum in response to variations in air pressure.

Speech Testing

Speech testing is a critical component for evaluating the extent and characteristics of hearing loss.

Air and Bone Conduction Testing

Similar to speech testing, air and bone conduction assessments are integral aspects of comprehensive hearing examinations.
